This is a AFTERMARKET REPRODUCTION of an Original  Vw Thing Glove box door

MOUNTING OF GLOVE BOX DOOR DIFFICULTY LEVEL IS FOR INTERMEDIATE SKILLED INSTALLERS

MUST BE ABLE TO USE DRILL AND HAND TOOLS 

Comes with lock and latch

may need modification to facilitate heater levers on gas heater cars

non gas heater cars are exempt from this extra modification

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING

1. Measure for hole from top of glove box door 3 1/2” From top of glove box opening

2 Use center punch to mark hole Drill hole up to 1/4 “ size

we recommend starting with an 1/8’ drill first 

3. Remove glove box light only. Then relocate glove box light inside glove box opening

4.Install glove box door into holes drilled in sides

Spread hinges outward Tighten flat head screws

5. Install plastic catch to glove box mount centered using screws provided 

6. Check fitment and modify mount accordingly

7. Remove door once successfully fitting door and coat or paint 

8. Reattach finished product
